This small and very interactive museum shows  what life was like in the 17th century, the early period of the Romanov dynasty. According to one version Mikhail, the first Romanov tsar was born in this house.
You can see traditional Russian parts of the House: the entrance hall (the so-called seni in Russian), the cold part, women and men’s  quarters. Of course you will hear  about the traditional Russian lifestyle in households and the changes from Peter the Great’s time onwards.
The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. except Tuesdays and the first Monday of the month; and on Wednesdays it is open from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m.
