Individual and Group tours of Moscow and Environs

1/2 Day Moscow Driving Tour

Your tour starts either at your hotel or at any other place convenient  for you. Pick up your camera, meet your guide and get prepared to immerse into the fairy tale named MOSCOW. The tour includes several photo stops.

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour dedicated to the victory over Napoleon looks old but new. That's because the 19th century original was blown up by the Soviets in 1931, and a swimming pool was built in its place. This is a replica built after the fall of communism.

Your next photo stop is Novodevichy Convent, a small 'walled city' of haunting beauty dating  from the first part of the 16th century. The nunnery became a place of exile for the Russian women of noble birth.

We are going to visit the Sparrow hills, the highest point in Moscow, from where a spectacular panoramic view spreads out before you. Anton Chekhov was one of many who enjoyed the view from there; he declared that in order to understand Russia one would have to come and see Moscow from this spot. The main building of Moscow University, one of Stalin skyscrapers, adds to the beauty of the place.

Enjoy the Victory Park , opened in 1995. It's a war memorial that commemorates the victory over the Nazi Germans. It's an amazing architectural ensemble with museums, fountains, obelisks, monuments and religious temples.

Red Square is probably the most famous square in the world. This is where you really feel you are in Russia. In earlier times it was a busy market place but it has always had a considerable social and political importance. Its unique architectural ensemble strikes your imagination. One can't help admiring the crazy, colourful onion domes of St.Basil's cathedral as well as the elegant beauty of GUM (Main Department Store of Moscow) built in the Russian style. Lenin's Tomb is another object of interest that still attracts a procession of visitors, though not as many as in Soviet days when the line stretched out of sight.

At the end of the tour we’ll drop you off at the most convenient place for you (your hotel, railway station, cafe or restaurant).
